Telstra Call Centre

The Telstra Call Centre is an exciting project for Palm Island, and arose through a partnership between PICC, Telstra, Queensland Government, TAFE Queensland, Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council, and Rainbow Gateway. The Call Centre offers Palm Island the opportunity to provide services to Telstra’s First Nations Customers across Australia. Our Customer Service Representatives provide sales and service calls for all of Telstra’s fixed, internet and mobile products.

This project brings jobs and money into community.

All of our Customer Call Centre Representatives go through a training “bootcamp” prior to starting. Our trainees are paid during this period. They then become staff in the Call Centre, and receive ongoing training and support from Telstra and PICC, to succeed in their roles.
