Family Wellbeing Centre
The Family Wellbeing Service offers support services to families in need.
The Service offers support and help such as personal support and development, information and advice, parenting skills development, kinship connection, budgeting, and household skills development. The Service also coordinates activities such as the Women’s Yarning Circle and the Elders Advisory Group. It is also the first point of contact for Emergency Relief Payments.
Family Participation Program
The Family Participation Program helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who are going through the child protection system and those who are at risk of going through it.
The Family Participation Program helps make sure every family is fully involved in its journey through the child protection system. It can give culturally appropriate advice and support, it can help make sure families are kept informed about the child safety processes and what is happening, and it can help families have a voice in everything that happens and every decision made. It can also connect families to other services that can also help.
