PICC is committed to providing holistic, comprehensive primary health services, in line with the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) definition of Primary Health Care:
Primary health care, within the holistic health provision of an ACCHS, provides the sound structure to address all aspects of health care arising from social, emotional and physical factors.
Our team includes: General Practitioners (GPs), nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, Care Coordinators, Eye Health Coordinator, Hearing Health Coordinator, ITC Coordinator, Dietitian, Diabetic Educator, Exercise Physiologist, Podiatrist, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Allied Health Assistants, Psychologists, Cleaners, Drivers, and project and administration staff.
We also work very closely with the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and other providers to ensure that our patients have access to a range of specialist and allied health services on-site. These include:
