Family Care Service

The Family Care Service finds carers for Palm Island children who cannot stay at home. Carers are members of the child’s family or of the Palm community.

Providing this service means that Palm Island children can be kept on Palm Island, connected to their families, their community and their culture.

We deal with all access of carer support –  recruitment, assessment and ongoing support. If you’re interested in becoming a carer, please drop in and see the team, who will be able to explain the process.
