Presenters Wanted for Conference

Presenters Wanted for SNAICC Conference

Do you have an idea for something you’d like to say to people protecting our kids across Australia? Is there something really good happening on Palm which you’d like to share with the whole country?

SNAICC, the Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care, is inviting submissions for presentations and workshops at its next conference, which will be held on the Gold Coast from 30th August to 2nd September, 2021.

The topic of the conference is Our Children Matter: Innovative Approaches to New World Challenges. Key themes of the conference will be children’s safety and wellbeing, early years, children’s and young people’s rights and, naturally, the effects of COVID–19 on children and the child-protection sector.

If you are a PICC staff member and you have an idea for a presentation or a workshop at the conference, we would love to hear from you. Please discuss and develop your idea with your manager, especially if you want to present it. SNAICC will accept abstract submissions until 19th February.    ‍‎

Several PICC staff members will also attend the conference to learn the best and newest ideas in giving our kids the best start to life and to share informally what PICC does for Palm’s kids. If you are a PICC staff member and you are interested in attending the conference, please let your manager know early next year. The staff members attending the conference and their travel arrangements will be finalised in the middle of 2021.
