Ladies’ Lounge Spends an Evening in Hawaii

Ladies’ Lounge Spends an Evening in Hawaii

The latest Ladies’ Lounge had a taste of Hawaii.

On the evening of 27th October, about forty Palm women came to the PICC Women’s Service for dinner, bingo, prizes and dancing.

The outdoor area of the Women’s Service was fittingly decorated, with palm leaves, fairy lights and Hawaiian music for a Hawaiian ambiance, as well as tropical lanterns made by the women at the most recent Ladies’ Arts and Crafts Day.

Dinner that evening started with a prawn cocktail and salad; the main course was a choice of kup muri pork and a selection of salads, or banana damper with rice; and dessert was a choice of pineapple tart with fruit salad, jelly, custard and cream, or banana cake or cinnamon cake with cream.

A guest speaker, Coralee Cassidy, also attended to talk about the important role that women have in the community.

All women who attended said they had a wonderful night.

The final Ladies’ Lounge of 2020 will be their Christmas party and dinner on 15 December. All Palm women are welcome to attend.
